I am having trouble talking my parents out of this. Sounds like a total scam to me. Jackie Spell was kind enough to give me a few ins and outs but I was wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with this. They are going to buy 1 week in a 2 bedroom and told they could exchange it for 4 weeks in a 1 bedroom?

TIA

go ask on

tell them NEVER to buy from an developer. if it is already too late - then see if you can help them get out of the contract.

Buying south Florida retail, sounds like a very poor move. I can't speak to the resort itself but there are reviews on TUG which are mostly positive. It's rated an 8.11 out of 10. There are 3 for sale on TUG right now ranging from $2300 to $13K. The units there appear to be lockoff's and you could trade 2 for 2. But the 2 for 1 depends on bonus weeks which are very restrictive and I would not buy with that in mind. If they want to own there, they should get educated and buy resale. Post on TUG at www.tug2.net and you should get a lot more and better info.

I was on tug to check out resales (which is why I told them this deal more than stinks!!!!!!) but couldn't find a chat board, I'll have to look again.

How are "bonus weeks" differentiated with RCI as this is clearly what they are getting according to Mike, the salesman who got on the phone with me and thought I "was very educated as a DVC owner".

Edit: ok, I'm a little brighter now...found their chat board and registered
